This is a variation on the classic French Bread or Pain Perdu, ‘lost bread’ as it is best made with your leftover stale bread
Place a frying pan on the heat.
Lightly whisk the eggs and milk together and pour through a sieve into a bowl.
Add the cinnamon.
Dip both sides of the bread into the egg mixture and place on the medium hot pan.
Turn over when lightly browned and cook on the other side.
Serve straight from the pan, dusted with icing sugar
