Fresh Gingerade

Ingredients

  • 225 g Sugar

  • 300 ml Water

  • 6 Lemons or 10 Limes

  • 2 tablespoons Finely grated Ginger

  • 1 L Water

Method

  • 1.

    Put the sugar and water into a saucepan, stirring to dissolve the sugar over a medium heat, then bring up to the boil and simmer for two minutes.

  • 2.

    Let it cool.Mix the lemon juice with the ginger, add most of the COLD syrup and top up with water to taste.

  • 3.

    Add the rest of the syrup if you like.

  • 4.

    Add some ice and serve

Notes

Roll the limes under your hand on the work surface to soften them, makes juicing them easier
