A thick red coloured winter warmer, eat with crusty bread


  • 1/2 cup red lentils

  • 1 litre of chiken stock

  • 3 diced carrots

  • 2 diced patatoes

  • 1/2 red capsicum diced

  • 1 can chopped peeled tomatoes

  • 1 finely diced onion

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 2 bay leaves

  • 1 teaspn salt

  • 1/2 teaspn cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red chillies

  • pepper to taste

    Put all ingrdiants into a stock pot and slow simmer for 2 hours
