  • 400 g Tin of Chickpeas

  • Juice of half a Lemon

  • 2 Good Teaspoons of Tahini paste

  • 3-4 tbsp Olive Oil

  • Salt


  • 1.

    Put all the ingredients into a food processor and pulse until smooth.

  • 2.

    Check for seasoning, add more olive oil or some natural yoghurt if it is too thick.

  • 3.

    Keeps in the fridge for up to a week.

recipe in cook book is different. 400g chickpeas or 200g dried soaked o/n. 2Tbsp tahini ,1 lemon juiced, 4 Tbsp olive oil, 2 cloves of garlic crushed and .5 tsp salt. Blend all together.I make this all the time, it is great. I f too thick add more olive oil or more lemon juice if you think it needs more. I also garnish with some paprika and olive oil when serving.
