A Sunday morning breakfast of warm pancakes with maple syrup is the perfect way to relax with the family. Matthew Hayden loves to add smoky bacon, too.
In a medium sized bowl, crack one egg and beat vigorously.
Add milk and pour self-raising flour on top.
Combine until smooth.
Heat flat plate or non-stick pan. Melt a knob of butter. Once butter starts to bubble, pour two small amounts of batter into the pan.
Flip once the outside of the pancake stars to bubble.
Once golden brown, turn onto your plate and serve with your desired topping.
