Spaghetti And Meatballs.

This is a real crowd pleaser. I am regularly receiving requests for this one.


  • 400g Tin Diced Tomatoes

  • 3 Large tbl Tomato Paste

  • 1 tsp Sugar

  • 2 Garlic Cloves (finely diced or crushed)

  • 1/4 cup Dried Mixed Herbs

  • 500g Beef Mince

  • 1 Egg

  • 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs

  • Salt and Pepper for seasoning.

  • 1 pack dried spaghetti.


  • 1.

    Boil A Large pot of salted water.

  • 2.

    Add tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, one garlic clove, one tsp of mixed herbs and pinch of salt and pepper in to a medium pot, and cook an a medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  • 3.

    Mix mince, egg, bread crumbs, pinch of salt and pepper, and remaining garlic and herbs in a bowl and roll into balls.

  • 4.

    Place meatballs under grill and cook on high turning until all sides are brown and meat appears cooked through.

  • 5.

    Add Spaghetti to boiling water and cook as directed on pack.

  • 6.

    Meanwhile add meatballs to sauce and remove from heat.

  • 7.

    Serve with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.


Sometimes I add a pinch off chili flakes, for an extra kick.
