This simple ANZAC biscuit recipe is perfect for the whole family - easy and delicious, these are a must for the ANZAC day weekend.


  • 120g butter

  • 1 cup dessicated coconut

  • 3/4 cup rolled oats

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 cup plain flour

  • 2 tbs golden syrup

  • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda


  • 1.

    Preheat oven 140 degrees celcius.

  • 2.

    Melt butter and syrup over low heat. Then add the bicarbonate soda. Let it cool.

  • 3.

    Sift the dry ingredients and pour in butter mixture. Mix well.

  • 4.

    Roll a tablespoon of dough into a ball and place onto the tray. Flatten dough a bit with a spoon or fork.

  • 5.

    Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

I also requested gluten-free recipes, but as it's not something that needs to rise much it should work with GF flour. Note: also make sure the oats are GF, as they are often rolled on equipment that also processes flour products.

u can put extra oats and sugar in it and crushed nuts are also an option
