David Wirrpanda cooks up a simple pasta bake with tuna and perfect recipe for the family ...


  • 1 packet spiral pasta, cooked al dente

  • 2 punnets cherry tomatoes, cut into quarters

  • 1 large can of tuna, drained

  • Bechamel Sauce

  • 50g butter

  • 2 rounded Tablespoons plain flour

  • 3 cups milk

  • 3 cups cheese, grated


  • 1.

    Mix pasta, tuna and tomatoes and place in an ovenproof baking dish

  • To make the béchamel -:

  • 1.

    Melt butter in a sauce pan

  • 2.

    Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes

  • 3.

    Slowly add milk and stir in on low heat

  • 4.

    Simmer gently to thicken

  • 5.

    Remove from heat and stir in grated cheese

  • To assemble :

  • 1.

    Spoon cheese sauce over pasta

  • 2.

    Top with extra grated cheese

  • 3.

    Bake at 180 degrees until golden
