An easy, recipe using grits in place of bulgur wheat for a great, healthy vegetarian dish.


  • 1 Small Cabbage

  • 3-4 Tomatoes

  • 2/3 cup Grit

  • 1 Onion

  • Lemon to taste

  • 1/4 cup Olive oil

  • Salt to taste


  • 1.

    Cut tomatoes, onions and cabbage into small pieces.

  • 2.

    Immerse grit with hot water and cover it for 15 minutes.

  • 3.

    Squeeze lemons.

  • 4.

    Mix tomatoes, onions and cabbage.

  • 5.

    Put the soaked grit with olive oil and lemon, Then add it to the tomatoes, onions and cabbage and mix them well

  • 6.

    Add salt and mix
