Mel's Scones

This easy yet delicious recipe is great to whip up in a flash for visitors dropping in for a cuppa.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of lemonade (not diet)

  • 1 cup of thickened cream (not lite)

  • 3 cups of self raising flour

Method

  • 1.

    Simply mix ingredients all together in a bowl

  • 2.

    Knead, roll out on a floured board and cut with big circle cutter

  • 3.

    Place on greased baking tray

  • 4.

    Bake for 10-12 minutes on 220 degrees

  • 5.

    Serve with jam and fresh whipped cream

Notes

Oven is best on Bake not Fanforced they will rise more

You can also add fresh dates or figs to this mixture, according to taste
