This hot, mouth-watering chocolate dessert just melts in your mouth. It consists of: chocolate cake layer, chocolate sauce, crunchy biscuits and melted marshmallows on top of it all.
I tried it first time at my friend’s, Suha. It was so yummy but it was too much sweetie, so I made little adjustments and I think it’s perfect like that.
By the way, it takes no time to prepare, and is served immediately out of the oven, so it’s perfect when you need a no-time dessert to prepare.

  • 1 chocolate pound cake (use ready-made one, like Sara Lee)

  • 1 stick (or 100gm) butter

  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 4 pieces (50gm each) Galaxy chocolate (or anything similar)

  • 250ml thick cream (in Arabic: qeshta)

  • 150-200 gm marshmallows

  • 150gm Digestive biscuits, crushed

  • 1.

Cut cake into ½ inch thick slices.

  • 2.

In a square or rectangular 3inch deep baking dish, arrange cake slices to cover bottom, cut side down.

  • 3.

In sauce pan, melt butter, add cocoa powder and mix well till smooth. Break chocolate into pieces and add to the butter mixture and melt over a hot water bath (or in microwave if you want).

  • 4.

Add thick cream to chocolate mixture and mix well to combine. Pour over cake slices.

  • 5.

Sprinkle crushed biscuits on top to cover chocolate layer totally.

  • 6.

Arrange marshmallow pieces over biscuit layer, 1 inch apart.

  • 7.

Bake in a 400F (200C) preheated oven till marshmallows are puffy and golden.

  • 8.

    Serve hot.

This sounds like a great big S'mores. American kids sit around campfires and eat something like this - Graham crackers with chocolate and marshmellow - then toasted over the fire til the marshmellow melts. Fantastic combo of flavours!
