Fluffy and delicious chocolate and walnut brownie


  • 85g Self Raising Flour

  • 85g Coco Powder (does not have to be an expensive brand)

  • 1 cup Sugar

  • 4 Eggs

  • 1Tsp Vanilla essence

  • 330g Unsalted Butter Melted

  • 125 g Chopped Walnuts

  • 250g Dark Chocolate Buttons (if large ones chopped)

  • Icing sugar (to dust aprox 30g)

    Preheat Oven to 170deg del. Grease and line shallow tin, 20 x 30cm.

    Sift Flour & Coco together add sugar. In a seperate bowl lightly beat eggs, vanilla add melted butter mix well. Add to dry ingredients mix well untill ALL lumps are gone. Add buttons, and walnuts mix roughly.

  • 3.

    Pour into lined tin and bake for approx 20-25mins.

  • 4.

    Let cool for 10mins in the tin, turn out and cool on wire rack to cool completly. Top with a dusting of icing sugar.


YOu know when its ready when the middle is still soft but not runny. You will not be able to put a skewer in as it will always come out wet due to the chocolate buttons. Lighty touch the middle if it seems firm but still moist you are good to go. After making this once you will be able to work out how much time you will need to bake it for.
