Once you've had this fried rice, you'll want it again and again and again!


  • 1 1/3 raw C Jasmine Rice (add double water)

  • 1 carrot, peeled and diced

  • 1 red capsicum, seeds removed, chopped

  • 1 green capsicum, seeds removed, chopped

  • 3/4 C frozen peas

  • 4 rashers bacon, chopped

  • 300g chicken, chopped into small pieces

  • 2 eggs, beaten lightly

  • Shallots to serve

  • 2 sachets kecap manis

  • 2Tbsp tomato sauce

  • 2Tbsp Peanut Oil


  • 1.

    Chop and prepeare all ingredients.

  • 2.

    Cook rice for 12 minutes.

  • 3.

    Meanwhile, heat wok over high heat and add 2 tsp peanut oil and add egg (omlet). Cook for one minutes or until nearly cooked through. Remove omlet from wok and transfer onto plate. ROll up and cut into strips.

  • 4.

    Add 1Tbsp peanut Oil add Chicken and cook for about 4 minutes or until cooked through. Remove from pan and transfer onto plate lined with paper towel.

  • 5.

    Add remaining oil and add, capsicums, carrot and bacon. Cook for 4 minutes until cooked through but still slightly crunchy. Add peas and half of the shallots and cook for a further 2 minutes.

  • 6.

    Lastly add half of the omlet, chicken, rice and sauce. Stir til all combined and rice is covered with sauce.

  • 7.

    Serve in bowls and top with remaining omlet ans shallots. ENJOY!

This sauce is doubled but i like it extra saucy! Also you can add a tin of little prawns if you wish!
