Yields about one cup


  • 1 cup firmly packed mint leaves

  • 2 tsp brown sugar

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • ½ cup lime juice

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

  • 1 fresh green chilli, de-seeded and chopped

  • 6 spring onions, chopped

  • 1 clove garlic, crushed

  • Sea salt, to taste


  • 1.

    Blend all the ingredients with 2 tbls water until it forms a smooth puree, scraping down sides.


HINT: To make coriander chutney, simple substitute fresh chopped coriander for the mint.

Yeah, I watched as well, but absolutely no apples. I think she called it Mint and Ginger on the show. I thought it was coriander leaves she was using. Cant wait to make these though, they looked so yummy!

Me too, I watched the show yesterday and didn't see apple go into this, I watched it again today and still no apple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to make this and the Thai fish cakes but need to know is there supposed to be apple. Also I thought when Janella was making this that it didn't look like mint she was using!!!!! can someon please help.
