Beef Hamburgers - The Best Pattie ever

Add what you want to the bun - here is the best beef pattie ever!


  • 2 kg minced beef or meat of your choice

  • 3 eggs

  • 2 tab Hot English mustard

  • 2 tab Seeded mustard

  • 2 onions – roughly chopped

  • 5 cloves garlic

  • 3 tab drained capers

  • I small can tomato paste

  • 4 slices (sour dough) bread soaked in ½ cup milk

  • Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


  • 1.

    Process all ingredients except the mince and olive oil.

  • 2.

    It should not be mush.

  • 3.

    Add this mixture to 2 kg beef and mix with hands

  • 4.

    Shape into patties (approx 300 grams each)

  • 5.

    In a frypan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Try adding a little tiny bit of the meat to the oil - if it sizzles, it is ready to cook the patties.

  • 6.

    Add the patties - a couple at a time - not too many andcook on med-high until it is brown on one side. Turn and cook the other side until your desire!

  • 7.

    Add to you bun with whatever you want!

I like this recipe, sounds really delicious..I dont like fast food hamburgers, Homemade ones are totally better.. I should try those some day, I might add to it little mayb steak sauce, just alittle..
