• 125g butter, cut into small cubes

  • 1/2 cup caster sugar

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence

  • 1 3/4 cups self raising flour

  • pinch of salt


  • 1.

    1.Preheat ove to 170c.Put butter and sugars in a large bowl and cream.

  • 2.

    2.Add egg and essence to creamerd mix and stir in.

  • 3.

    3.sift flour and salt over mix.Mix well

  • 4.

    4.Place mixture on tray around the size of a golf ball 6cm apart Bake for 10-12 mins or till golden brown. Allow to cool.


choc chip: Add 1/2 cup of choc chips to the mix
