Wash and devein the prawns. Marinate prawns with turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and pepper powder . Keep aside for 1 hour. In a frying pan , heat oil . Arrange prawns , curry leaves and shallow fry till golden colour and crisp . Stir occasionally. Serve hot with rice. Taste's totally different from normal fried prawns. Speciality of this recipe is frying prawns with shell. So you can enjoy the crispness.....
I have also made these on a BBQ plate which adds another whole dimension of flavour.
You can use fairly big prawns as long as they cook until crispy which intensify the flavour considerably. These are best served with a frosty glass of Lager
