Spiced Pork with noodles and veges

Made with my own home made five spice chinese powder. It was Yummmmm!


  • 1.5kg lean pork chops

  • 1/2 tsp five spice powder

  • 1.5 tbsp sweet sherry

  • 1.5 tbsp cornflour

  • salt

  • pepper

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp finely chopped green ginger

  • 1/4 C water

  • chicken stock

  • 2 tsp soy sauce, extra

  • oil for frying


  • 1.

    Trim chops, discard fat and bones.

  • 2.

    Mix together remaining ingredients in bowl, except chicken stock and extra soy sauce.

  • 3.

    Add chops, mix well and set aside for two hours, stirring occasionally.

  • 4.

    Pour oil into wok or saucepan. (depth of 2.5cm)

  • 5.

    When hot, add marinated pork chops frying quickly on both sides until golden brown and cooked through.

  • 6.

    Remove pork chops and cut into service size pieces and keep warm.

  • 7.

    Cook vegetables and noodles

  • 8.

    Combine in pan, chicken stock and extra soy sauce, bring to boil and pour over pork.

  • 9.

    Plate pork with vegetables and noodles and serve.
