Matzo

Unleavened Jewish flat bread traditionally eaten during Passover. While usually made with only flour and water, some add flavourings such as onion. Matzo (matzoh) can be ground into a meal, which is used as an ingredient in a variety of foods such as matzo balls and pancakes. It is used to thicken soups and as a substitute for leavened breadcrumbs to coat food during Passover.
