Mario Percuoco, an Italian and fourth generation chef, certainly has that passion coursing through his veins. He is absolutely charming, as most Italian men are, and is an extremely talented chef. Born in Naples, Percuoco spent his early years in the family kitchen surrounded by the best southern Italian cuisine. He worked as a chef to fulfil his obligations to the Italian army – needless to say the Italian troops fare a little better than ours, with slices of prosciutto, delicious salamis and exquisite pastas (well, they do say an army marches on its stomach).
