Sisters Jasmine and Melissa Hemsley are home cooks and food lovers who are passionate about healthy, nutrient-dense recipes that taste good too.
Hemsley and Hemsley recipes are free from gluten, grains and refined sugars, but their dishes certainly don’t lack in flavour. The girls believe passionately in bringing food back to basics and understanding how to get the maximum nutrition from every tasty mouthful of real non-processed food. Refreshingly their healthy approach is not about calorie counting and every recipe they cook is about enjoying your food to the max.
Jasmine spent over 15 years working as a model where she learnt just how important healthy eating is, especially when traveling and working long hours. Melissa also traveled extensively and dealt with late nights working as a fashion brand manager. Eating healthy food on the go was a struggle for both of them.
Jasmine and Melissa realised they were putting their bodies under unnecessary strain and decided to take action, researching a plethora of diets and philosophies and working with experts in wellness fields. They developed an approach to eating that made them feel great. Soon friends and family noticed the positive change in them and wanted in on their new recipes. Jasmine and Melissa started teaching friends how to cook some of their favourite recipes, leading to the launch of their business Hemsley + Hemsley.
As well as their successful cookbook, Hemsley + Hemsley: The Art of Eating Well, Jasmine and Melissa have a huge online following, contribute recipes to Vogue and later this year will be opening a cafe at Selfridges in London. They also have a second cookbook on the way.
