Spoiler alert! After nine weeks of whisking, whipping and wowing the judges, The Great Australian Bake Off Grand Final is upon us. But who will take the cake?
After surviving the signature bakes, Toughing it out in the technical challenges and of course, stunning with their showstoppers, Sunny, David and Dan were the last three bakers remaining in the Shed.
First up, the signature challenge was to create a Hungarian layer cake - called a Dobos Torte - to which the three bakers thrived.
Then came the Techincal challenge, where the bakers were asked to bake eight tricky Mont Blancs. With a recipe from Matt Moran leaving out the essential - like how to make a shortcrust pastry.
After much deliberation, the results were in. Sunny came out on top in the technical, with David and Dan following closely behind.
Lastly, the Showstopper challenge was revealed - the bakers were tasked with making a geometric layer cake.
As the three contestants battled it out to score the coveted title of Australia's Best Amateur Home Baker - only one winner could be revealed...
And that was Sunny!
She stunned throughout the series, bringing her A-game to bake after bake. Sunny won Star Baker three times, and we'll never forget when she made a too-hot sujuk pide for Maggie or her beautiful biscuit cake in the shape of a number 4.
We're so excited to see where this new journey takes her!
