It’s not hard to buy more than you need to at Easter, especially when hot cross buns and chocolate and tempting you whenever you visit the shops.

If you find yourself with excess amounts of Easter treats, it’s time to get baking. Woolworths ambassador and Stuff Mums Like blogger, Maraya Bell says creating desserts with leftovers is not only easy, but helps to reduce food waste.

“With all the food and especially chocolate consumed over Easter, there is bound to be some leftovers, so make sure they don’t go to waste,” she says.

A recent study conducted by Woolworths found that chocolate is most likely to be leftover, followed by meat and hot cross buns.

“It also found that nine out of 10 people are choosing to make use of their leftovers, so these recipes will provide you with some post Easter inspiration on how to best use your leftovers!”
