Victoria Bitter launches a beer-flavoured VB tea. Would you drink it?

Is this the most Aussie tea blend you've ever seen?

Known all over the country for decades as the beverage required for a 'hard earned thirst', VB beer is an Aussie cultural staple - even if you've never had a sip you can recall the advertisements, celebrity ambassadors and probably the jingle.

VB is entering a new age it seems, with the launch of a limited-edition tea blend, designed with beer and tea enthusiasts in mind.

What does it look and taste like?

The limited-edition tea has been developed using the brand’s 'Super Pride' hops and premium black tea leaves.

It's got the distinct aroma and taste of Victoria Bitter, yet the physcial quality is like a regular cup of tea. An incredible pairing of flavours!

But, why?

Produced primarily for the Aussie cricket supporter up all hours of the night and early morning, VB decided to provide a non-alcoholic alternative to the classic beer.

“We know how much Australians love cricket, and the long hours and sleepless nights they put themselves through whenever there’s a series in the UK," says Chris Maxwell from Victoria Bitter.

“So, we wanted to reward their hard work in supporting Australia by creating the perfect alternative to English Breakfast to sip on, as we go to battle with the Poms in what’s sure to be a hard-fought series. After all, there’s no time to snooze - especially if the Poms are losing.”

You can purchase a box from the VB merchandise store for $10. But be quick, as it's only around for a short time only.
