Truff Hot Sauce was born from an idea to create a condiment that was both tangy and full of the robust truffle flavour. It had never been done before, so the founders of Truff decided to put their heads together, and developed the first ever truffle hot sauce.
The website reads, "We’ve sourced our ingredients much like we’ve sought inspiration — with an open mind and a sophisticated palate — and captured them in an exquisitely designed bottle crowned with a geometric homage to our truffle roots."
Dubbed the "pinnacle of heat experience", Truff is made from ripe chili peppers, organic agave nectar, black truffle, and savoury spices. It's certainly not all about heat - the flavours and distinct profile of the sauce mean it's unlike anything on the Aussie market.
If you're really into truffle, but not so much into heat, the original black-label Truff sauce is perfect for you. If you're keen for a heat explosion, however, try the Truff Hotter Sauce with the red label. According to the Truff site, this sauce "offers a less sweet, more heat: rendition of the Flagship Original."
While we haven't tried it, a bunch of other people have - including Oprah. Truff even won the accolade of “Oprah’s Favorite Thing” back in 2018. Incredible.
