Top Chefs Serve Pop-Up Breakfast at Sydney Markets

Australia's top chefs are set to dish up a gourmet pop-up breakfast at Sydney Markets in support of OzHarvest, the nation’s leading food rescue operation.

Diners at Sydney Markets Flemington’s first-ever pop-up breakfast on Friday, 18 October will be served a three course gourmet breakfast on a long communal table right in the heart of the Market.

This event is hosted by hosted by Sydney Markets, the home of fresh food, flowers and Paddy’s, as part of the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Month, Australia’s largest food festival.

Australian celebrity chefs, Jared Ingersoll, Matt Kemp and Justin North have collaborated to produce a menu using the freshest produce sourced directly from the Markets. Diners will be served:

·         Japanese inspired broth with crab meat and mushrooms by Justin North

·         Greens, eggs and ham by Jared Ingersoll

·         Pain perdu with sheep’s milk yoghurt, honeycomb and fresh berries by Matt Kemp

Vegetarian and gluten free options will be available.

Besides having a great breakfast, visitors will get a chance to experience the best of Sydney’s Markets all in one day; the Sydney Flower Market, Sydney Growers Market, Sydney Produce Market and Sydney’s Paddy’s Market.

A limited number of final tickets are available for sale at $25 each and this includes food, beverages and entry to the Markets. Proceeds from this event support OzHarvest, the nation’s leading food rescue operation.
