Top 5 Dessert Restaurants

Reward yourself with some of the most delectable desserts across Australia.

From exotic ice cream to magical dark chocolate, these are the best sweet treats in the country. Our friends at Citibank share with us some of the top spots to indulge yourself after dinner:

3 Weeds
This multi award-winning restaurant offers a modern Australian menu with Mediterranean influences, using the best quality ingredients and seasonal produce from their own organic vegetable and herb garden. Situated in one of the oldest pubs in the inner west, the highlight is Lauren Murdoch’s Raspberry jelly with strawberries, rhubarb, Campari cream and almond crumb - fresh, a touch bitter with a perfect balance of sweetness. Or for the chocolate-lovers, try the Chocolate marquise with caramel hazelnuts and cinnamon cream.

The Meat & Wine Co
Renowned for its steak offerings and wine selections, The Meat & Wine Co’s dessert menu holds many wonderful desserts. From the dark chocolate and pistachio fondant with vanilla bean ice-cream and white chocolate pistachio nougatine, to the flaming Grand Marnier crème brulee infused with Madagascan vanilla bean, The Meat & Wine Co offers Sydney diners a unique experience - superb food in a sophisticated yet relaxed environment.

The modern European feel of the Arras menu is carried through to the restaurant’s divine dessert offering. The menu gives a nod to traditional classics such as Rhubarb ‘Crumble’ and Caramelised Apple Tart. Headed by Adam Humphrey, the team’s creative license is wielded on a stunning array of petits-fours based on British childhood sweets such as homemade marshmallows, and even the chutneys that accompany Sydney’s best cheese trolley, all bottled in house.

Bacco Wine Bar and Pasticceria
Authentic Bacco Wine Bar is famous for its signature Italian flavours, creating dishes composed of fresh, tasty, home-made pastas, while the pasticceria next door provides an array of delicious Italian treats. Think fluffy Italian chocolate mousse cake, creamy baked ricotta tart, classic tiramisu and tangy lemon meringue tart.

Sydney Cove Oyster Bar
Positioned in one of Sydney’s most enviable locations, Sydney Cove Oyster Bar’s relaxed vibe is a great accompaniment to their delicious dessert offerings. After a plate of freshly shucked oysters or crispy skin Atlantic salmon try the creamy, coconut panna cotta with mango and coriander salsa, palm sugar caramel and coconut lime sorbet, or even the refreshing and decadent white chocolate mousse with a sharp raspberry sorbet and chocolate shortbread for texture.

The Citibank Dining Program is a simple yet rewarding initiative, entitling all Citibank cardholders to a complimentary award winning bottle of wine every time they dine at one of hundreds of restaurants across Australia.
