1. Invest in good walking shoes.

2. Give yourself time! Time and time again people don't realise the size of the island - give yourself a few extra days on top of what you are planning to really relax and explore.

3. Pack up the car with a picnic to find the secret hidden cave entrance to Stokes Bay and spend an afternoon on the beach. Or stop for fish and chips at the Rock Pool Cafe (also at Stokes Bay).
