The simple hack to score 50 per cent off your next dinner bill

For the next six weeks you'll be able to dine out all over the country for a fraction of the cost.

Yes, it's cold. Yes, you may want to stay in and hibernate... but the opportunity to partake in delicious dining experiences might be enough to whet your appetite.

TheFork, a dining reservation app and website, launches TheFork Festival: six weeks of foodie specials from July 1, in order to inspire Aussie diners to discover the diversity of their local restaurant scene.

You'll get an incredible 50 per cent off your total food bill at participating restaurants during the festival (which runs from July 1 to August 11), across all services at participating restaurants, whether that be breakfast, lunch or dinner.

More than 250 restaurants around the country are taking part in the festival, so you can check out a new venue you've been meaning to try, or to revisit an old favourite - with the extra incentive of a bill half the price at the end of the meal!

To get the deal, simply book at one of the participating restaurants by visiting TheFork website or via TheFork app.

Here are some of the restaurants to watch out for during TheFork Festival:

NSW: Monopole, Queen Chow Manly, Berowra Waters Inn, Fratelli Fresh (Alexandria and Crows Nest), Din Tai Fung (Chatswood, Central Park, Miranda), Pilu at Freshwater

VIC: Beau Kitchen & Cellar, Alibi Kitchen & Bar, St. LuJa, Lezzet Anatolian Kitchen

QLD: The French Bistrot, Comuna Cantina, River Quay Fish, Corbett & Claude (Garden City)

SA: Henry’s Table, Laneway Espresso House, Red Ochre Grill

WA: Prince Lane, Springs Kitchen Perth, Street Eats Eatery and Angove Kitchen & Espresso Bar
