EatClub is the new celebrity-chef-endorsed app revolutionising Australian fine dining, making it as easy to go out for dinner as it is to order in.
Similar to the short-notice travel booking model of lastminute.com, Eat Club offers diners discounted rates for last minute tables at restaurants. It is a mutually beneficial system - diners can treat themselves to a meal out when they usually might not, and the restaurant can fill tables that would otherwise be empty.
EatClub, co-founded by British celebrity chef Marco Pierre White, was originally only available in Melbourne, but now covers Brisbane, Sydney and New York City. It has partnered with favourite local spots as well as huge names such as Neil Perry’s The Rockpool Dining Group, Bill’s Bondi and Saké.
When these restaurants experience a lull, they can log in to the app and offer tables at an up-to 50 per cent discount. The establishments set their own time-limited incentives to the diners to make sure the offer is only used during slow service times.
Unlike home delivery apps, EatClub gives the restaurants control. “We're the first platform in the world, as it stands right now, that gives restaurants the ability to do this all this in real time and have complete control," Co-founder Pan Koutlakis said. "The manager can look out the window, see it’s raining, push a deal out and then later withdraw it."
So if you’re a foodie on the look out for new hot spots, as well as a bargain, make sure to check out EatClub regularly.
