Nothing beats a pasty on a cold day. The signature dish of Cornwall, England, pasties are incredible little pockets of pastry filled with beef and vegetables. It's like the perfect cross between a roast and a pie.
Now, you can effortlessly make pasties at home, thanks to Helen Rose.
She shared her super-easy air-fryer mini pasties recipe on the Share Kmart Air Fryer Recipes Australia Facebook group. It immediately blew up, getting over 300 likes and 100 comments in 24 hours.
Here's how it's done:
- 400g mince
- 300g diced potato
- 100g diced carrot
- 100g diced sweet potato
- 150g onion
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper
- Puff pastry sheets, defrosted
- 1 egg, for egg washing
To begin, fry off the mince, potato, sweet potato, carrot, onion. Once the ingredients are browning and beginning to soften, add in the Worcestershire sauce and a liberal pinch of salt and pepper.

Take your pastry sheets and divide it into four. Place a small piled scoop of filling in the centre of each piece. Fold the pastry to meet in the middle, forming a rugby ball shape with the pinched seam.
Eggwash your pasties and then cook them in the air-fryer at 180 degrees for 10 to 15 mins. Helen used a 3.2L air-fryer.
