People on social media are declaring the super-moist vanilla cake to be the "best cake I've ever tasted".
An Aussie mum and professional cake-maker has shared her hack for making the moistest cakes - and it only requires 2 steps!
Taking to the super-popular Aldi Mums page, Elaine revealed that, on a whim, she decided to combine ALDI's White Mill Vanilla Super Moist cake mix with a packet on Cottee's Instant Pudding that she picked up at her local Coles.

She announced that the resulting cake was so delicious that, in spite of her background in professional baking, she will always turn to this simple trick ahead of making a cake from scratch.
Elaine qualified her Facebook post: "I have baked cakes for many years and sold them."
“However last week on a whim, I made cupcakes with this packet … and extra egg and this vanilla pudding, which I bought at Coles," she explained.
"Well, I don’t think I will bother with scratch vanilla cakes any more. It was fabulous.”
To make the cupcakes, she followed the ALDI cake mix's instructions. She then added in the packet of pudding, as well as an extra egg. She clarified that she did not make the pudding, just poured in the plain mix.
Elaine said that adding the pudding "just gives a little more flavour and a little more moisture" to the vanilla cake. Members of the Facebook group responded that they also like to fall back on this useful trick for an extra-moist cake:
"I did some cake making classes and I kid you not the lady taught me this trick with a packet mix and the pudding," commented one fellow baker.
Another agreed: "Made it once before and it was the best cake if ever tasted."
