Star Baker Antonio's Top Tips for Cooking with Chocolate

Antonio's Nonna will be so proud of his phenomenal week in the kitchen!

As Maggie phrased it: "To think our Star Baker this week is 16-years-old!"

Too true, Maggie. 

Young Antonio was crowned Star Baker for this week's 'Chocolate' episode of The Great Australian Bake Off.

The talented teen whipped up some quality chocolate cakes like it was no big deal. 

Here are his top tips for each part of his masterpiece:

  1. Tempered chocolate: "You really have to keep your eye on the temperatures. You cannot leave it for two seconds," Antonio promises. "If you don't get the temperature right it just won't set."
  2. White chocolate mousse: "Make sure your cream is really cold when you're folding the white chocolate base," he encourages.
  3. Chocolate ganache: Mix your ingredients well!
  4. Brownies: "When you melt your butter and chocolate, make sure it's not too hot when you pour it into your egg mixture because it can deflate really quickly," Antonio says.

Antonio's final tip comes from his Nonna: "Don't leave anything in the bowl!" Thanks, Nonna!
