Angela's Mint and Chocolate Checkerboard Cake was a show stopper, with the perfect tempered chocolate.
The technical skills involved in this cake centerd around the layers. The layers were then coated completely in buttercream, with chocolate ganache over the top.There was also piping around the side of the cake as well as tempered chocolate leaves on top to finish off the winning design.

Angela shares two main tips in the video above for attempting to try her creation at home. Firstly, it's about ensuring the cake rings don't fall apart, and secondly, to keep the cake mix as simple as possible.
