Amateur cooks, food enthusiasts or passionate small-farm holders can now register for a range of cookery courses which will further inspire their passion for cooking. The one-day weekend courses will be hosted by the River Cottage Australia television series host, Paul West and a team of experts with an emphasis on local, seasonal produce with a nose-to-tail approach.

The River Cottage Australia Cooking School 2015 commences on May 23rd and will run every Saturday and Sunday for twelve weeks. Small group classes will feature recipes from the television series and newly released River Cottage Australia Cookbook. Paul West will also take groups on a behind the scenes farm tour to meet the many farm characters, pick vegetables from the kitchen garden and be introduced to much-loved, four-legged mate, Digger.

Leonie Lowe, Managing Director, KEO Australia said, “We are delighted to launch the cookery school program in Australia. This is an opportunity for KEO Enterprises to develop the River Cottage Australia brand and discover new ways for the many fans to engage with the beautiful farm location of Central Tilba, on the Far South Coast of NSW.

Since 2013, the first international franchise based on the UK format has been hugely successful and broadcast on FOXTEL, generating rave reviews and enormous interest. Fans of the Australian series can now be part of a unique hands-on cookery experience.”

The KEO-owned format, River Cottage Australia commenced with UK television host and environmental advocate, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall travelling to Australia bringing to fruition his experiment in downshifting and the message of sustainability, and handing the baton to his Australian counterpart – former Tasmanian chef, Paul West.
