Restaurants are teaming up with bars to offer romantic delivery date nights

Are you missing out on being wined and dined? Now you won't have to.

Coronavirus isolation may have taken the romantic restaurant experience from our date nights, but that doesn't mean that you have to miss out on expert food and wine pairings at home.

While online food delivery is continuing, sometimes the local Thai just doesn't cut it - and that's where this new market comes in.

Award-winning, fine-dining restaurants are now teaming up with local bars and distilleries to create a unique date-night package, delivered to your door.

In Sydney, No.5 Restaurant, winner of the AGFG People’s Choice Award for 2020 is partering with Archie Rose distillery to create a boutique date-night package every Thursday night.

For $99, you can order a selection of share style dishes, dessert and two Archie Rose cocktails to complete the romantic experience - with the option to add a bottle of wine for an extra $20.

Even the restaurant is keeping things fresh, changing the menu each week to a selection of delicious, refined meals.

On their opening week of the package, No. 5 Restaurant served Swordfish Ceviche, Charred Corn with Sriracha and Manchego, Grilled Whole Spatchcock with Freekeh, Tabbouleh, Tarator and Harissa, Brussel Sprouts with Umami Glaze and for dessert, Coconut Tapioca Pudding with Caramel Pineapple and Coriander.

For the aperitif, choose from either a Espresso Martinique, Vodka or Gin Martini, Negroni and Tall Poppy cocktail from Archie Rose.

To order this delicious package, order by 12pm on Monday for a Thursday delivery.

The boutique experience is currently available for every Thursday of May, with free delivery to Alexandria, Redfern, Zetland, Green Square, Waterloo, Rosebery, Erskinville, Newtown, Camperdown, Enmore, St Peters, Stanmore, Marrickville and Tempe.

Stay tuned for more updates, as we're sure this delicious experience will be only continuing to rise.
