Regional Flavours’ The Epicurious Tent

For the first year ever, LifeStyle FOOD has partnered with South Bank’s Regional Flavours, bringing exciting LifeStyle channels' talent to the festival.  

Regional Flavours, Brisbane’s signature food and lifestyle event, is on from 20–21 July 2013. Surrounded by the beautiful South Bank Parklands and one of Brisbane’s best ‘eat streets’, this year’s Regional Flavours will celebrate the Queensland food adventure in all its guises.

Located on Little Stanley lawns, The Epicurious Tent presented by LifeStyle FOOD alongside V-ZUG, Southpoint and Nothing Beats Beef, is home to on-trend demonstrations and presentations by local, interstate and TV celebrity chefs. 

“We are very excited to have LifeStyle FOOD on board as a presenting and media partner for Regional Flavours 2013,” said Roxanne Hopkins, general manager of marketing at South Bank.

“Not only is it a wonderful synergy in terms of our philosophies – sustainability and adventures in food – but we are also very lucky to have secured the appearance of three of LifeStyle FOOD’s star presenters, Paul West from River Cottage Australia (on The LifeStyle Channel, only on Foxtel); Anthony Puharich from Ask the Butcher; Annabel Langbein from Free Range Cook: Simple Pleasures both on LifeStyle FOOD, only on Foxtel.”

Our home-grown answer to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Paul, will appear in The Epicurious Tent and at The Hunting Club on Saturday, 20 and Sunday, 21 July 2013.    

On Saturday, 20 July, everyone’s favourite butcher, Anthony will take the audience on a nose-to-tail eating journey, while providing tips on the best cuts of meat and how to cook them.

Also on Saturday (20 July), NZ cooking adventurer and advocate for home-grown simplicity, Annabel, will present from 3pm.    

So, whether you’re hopping on a plane to experience the world’s best restaurants, foraging at local markets for fresh ingredients, mastering the latest food techniques or simply experimenting with seasonal produce in your humble kitchen, your food adventure starts at South Bank.

Featuring more than 100 of the State’s best producers; a main stage program; an onsite bar; a children’s food adventure area and a dedicated riverfront gourmet food and jazz event at River Quay, the fifth Regional Flavours has something for everyone.

The Epicurious Tent is overflowing with tantalising tips from 10am till 5pm on both days of the festival and is completely free. The full schedule of activity is available on the program page.
