Regional Flavours, South Bank’s signature food and wine festival, returns for its sixth year. Held in the picturesque South Bank Parklands on 19 and 20 July, this free event features the best of Queensland’s produce, food and drinks. The sixth annual Regional Flavours celebrates eating in a way that respects provenance and embraces the pleasure of eating for lifestyle and fun.
Here are a few features from this years festival:
Become inspired by free cooking demonstrations from local and celebrity chefs at the Regional Flavours main stage, EAT-SHOW-TELL, in The Courier-Mail Piazza. Explore new recipes presented by chefs such as Paul West from River Cottage Australia on The LifeStyle Channel and Annabel Langbein from The Free Range Cook on LifeStyle FOOD.
The Hunting Club
If you want more flavour, head to The Hunting Club to expereince a South American twist on brew and beer matching. Bring your appetite and get ready to feast on bold flavours and cool drinks whilst watching a range of free cooking demonstrations by chefs such as Paul West and Annabel Langbein.
Eat Fleet Food Trucks
Enjoy a scrumptious assortment of pop-up eateries run by some of South Bank’s best restaurants. Take a walk down Little Stanley Street and enjoy this year’s food truck fleet, bigger and better than ever!
Savour at River Quay
If you’re looking for something a little more relaxing, share an afternoon of high end food, cocktails and live music from Brisbane’s up-and-coming artists, while overlooking the sparkling Brisbane River with friends and family.
South Bank Kids Club
Keep little ones entertained for free at the South Bank Kids Club, located on the Arbour View Café lawns. Enjoy a range of exciting food-themed fun specially designed for kids, which will ignite their creativity and love of food.
