Avoid the crowds at Sydney Fish Market this year and have your Christmas feast home delivered.
Anyone who has ventured to the fish markets on Christmas day will tell you it's not a shopping trip for the faint of heart. Crowds, chaos and carpark feuds spring to mind, as thousands of Sydney folk descend upon the markets during this peak period.
While it is certainly worth having the freshest seafood for your Christmas lunch, there is now a way to get around the mad rush: get it delivered!
The new app, GetFish - a seafood delivery service - has just in time for summer.
GetFish, founded by 18-year-old fish market worker Antonio Muollo, has an online catalogue of fresh seafood, including platters, prawns, caviar, oysters, sashimi, whole fish and, well, most things you would find at the fish markets.

Place your order on the site and the goods will be delivered the next day, or even the same day if you order before midday. Spend over $100 and delivery is free!
The produce will then be sourced directly from the De Costi Seafoods shop front at the Sydney Fish Markets and delivered to your door.
While GetFish won't be operating on Christmas day this year, it will be running up to Christmas Eve.
It currently only services an area of 35km from the fish markets, but keep your fingers crossed that it will keep growing!
