Meet Paul West at 2015 Regional Flavours Presented by The Courier-Mail

FOODies, get ready!  This year's Regional Flavours Presented by The Courier-Mail, is bigger and better than ever!  Held on 18 and 19 July in South Bank Parklands, Brisbane, there will be something for everyone.

The event will feature free cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs, cooks and industry experts, gourmet fare from some of South Bank’s most renowned restaurateurs, live music and kid’s activities as well as fresh produce from more than 80 of Queensland’s best providores.

One of the new additions to the event is River Cottage Australia at  Epicurious Garden Presented by LifeStyle FOOD.  Visit the beautiful and organic garden to discover the simple pleasure of gathering and cooking with produce as close to its source as possible. Head back to basics with a nod to sustainable farming; where food crops and animals complement each other and nothing ever goes to waste.

Paul West from River Cottage Australia will be in the garden, alongside other experts, to share knowledge on reconnecting our kitchens with the land. So feed your curiosity and gain a whole new appreciation for our local produce and what it takes to get fresh food from the farm to our kitchen tables.

Paul will also be appearing at EAT-SHOW-TELL and The Hunting Club Stage Presented by Target 100 as well as conducting book signings, so there are plenty of opportunities to meet the chef-turned-farmer.

Producer Showcase

With 80 local producers, growers, winemakers and reputable restaurants ready to share their wares and knowledge, you’ll be able to taste, try and buy some of the finest fare and fresh produce that Queensland has to offer.

eatSouthBank Food Trucks

Take a trip along Little Stanley Street, where you’ll stumble across a fleet of ‘food trucks’. It’s here you’ll come face-to-face with a moveable feast, run by a number of South Bank’s most esteemed restaurateurs who will serve up fast, fresh and gourmet dishes for $8 and under.

Sweet Escape

Sweet Escape at Regional Flavours will be serving up gourmet cupcakes; delectable donuts; nitrogen treated ice-cream; high tea; famed Zumbarons; and steamy hot coffees all weekend long. To sweeten the experience the space will also feature a number of informative demonstrations by Master Patissier Adriano Zumbo; and Nutritionist and author of The Happy Cookbook, Lola Berry just to name a few; as well as live music by local musicians.
