Mac-and-cheese-flavoured candy canes are now a thing

Along with kale, clam and pickle flavours, just to name a few.

If you thought you'd seen all the flavour partnerships this Christmas, let us introduce you to the company who are creating candy canes with savoury flavours. Think pizza, mac and cheese, ham, pickle and clam in the swirl of a candy cane... yup!

The American company, Archie McPhee takes pride in their comic twists of common toys and food, and they've truly outdone themselves in their candy cane offerings.

Pushing past the normal minty flavours, Archie McPhee has chosen their unconventional flavours to tie in with the Christmas treat, causing a huge uproar when they released their mac and cheese-flavoured candy canes.

While some said the emporium went too far, others who tried the cheesey candy cane said that it "smells like cheese and tastes like mac 'n cheese but the sweetness overpowers the flavour eventually, so it’s doable."

The company then ventured into other fast-food concepts, like their 'Hamdy' which is based on ham flavour, and pizza candy canes.

Archie McPhee's Director of Awesome, David Wahl explained to today.com, "The Hamdy Canes taste disturbingly like ham with a sweet glaze," while the "pizza candy canes taste like pizza herbs with a cheesy richness."

While we're on the fence about this, you can try some for yourself by ordering a pack of six of any flavour for $10.99.
