The Langham in Sydney has reimagined the traditional buffet experience and has opened the doors of Kitchens on Kent; Australia's first ever "fine-dining meets luxury buffet".
Interact with the chefs at one of the eight live cooking kitchens and indulge in fresh produce - the seafood is sourced daily from the Sydney Fish Markets!
"Chefs will be cooking using the freshest ingredients right in front of you, creating an a la carte dish. But don't just have one dish - you can have as many as you like," Gaylord Lamy, General Manager of The Langham Sydney says.
Take yourself on a culinary trip around the world as the buffet takes you from French cheeses to hearty Indian curries with made-to-order naan bread. Or, perhaps your tastebuds will lead you to the squid-ink pizzas made in the beech oven, or classic grilled meats cooked over smoky charcoals. Don't miss the sashimi station where you can see the chef slice and dice right in front of you.
While you're encouraged to try everything, make sure to leave room for the dessert station! Depending on the night, you may be able to get freshly flipped crepes and then choose from a beautiful array of cakes, macarons and other sweet treats.
Matching a beverage to a buffet can be tricky business, so there is also an in-house sommelier who is on hand to take you through the wine list and provide a perfect pairing.
If you have any dietary requirements, it's no trouble. Given there is a chef at every station, dishes can be customised to suit your needs.
It's not just an adults playground either, children can get in on the fun with activities such as pizza-making classes and cupcake decorating.
Kitchens on Kent is open every day for breakfast (from $45 per person), lunch (from $68 per person) and dinner (from $88 per person). During the weekends, brunch starts at 11am (from $78 per person).
