Jamie Oliver's best pasta recipes

Jamie Oliver loves Italian food, especially when it comes to healthy, easy pasta recipes.

Pasta is a dish many enjoy all year round. It's often simple to make, and can also be eaten for lunch the next day.

Here are some of Jamie Oliver's most delicious pasta recipes for you to try next time you're in the kitchen.

Sizzling Hot Prawn and Spinach Linguine

According to Jamie, this is the best meal to prepare for a hot date at home as it's simple and you can do the prep beforehand to cut down the time spent in the kitchen.

Classic Tomato Spaghetti

If simplicity is your style, you'll want to whip this one up. Italians will attest that the simple combination of tomato and basil is one of life's greatest culinary delights!

Squash and Spinach Rotolo Pasta

Rotolo pasta can be easily made at home by shaping lasagne sheets into small bowl or cup-like shapes and stuffing with your filling of choice.

Crab Linguine

This crab dish is a great pasta for summer, as the combination of crab and fennel is delightfully fresh! Jamie recommends enjoying with a glass of Riesling or crisp white wine for the best at-home dining experience.

Cheesy Pasta with Crispy Pangritata

Cheese pasta sounds basic but, like other simple cheese pastas, such as cacio e pepe), the secret is in the seasoning. In this case, that's acheived through the pangritata, which is basically breadcrumbs fried with garlic, rosemary and walnuts. This recipe calls for taglierini pasta but you could easily use spaghetti, linguine or fettuccine.

Bolognese Ravioli

The bolognese part of this recipe isn't the sauce, but the filling. Stuff each piece of ravioli with the beautiful mince meat recipe, and eat with an easy tomato sauce. Jamie calls this one an "homage" to his childhood,

Butter and Sage Gnudi

Gnudi is similar to gnocchi, but is made out of ricotta instead of potato. As Jamie explains: "Gnudi means naked, and quite simply this is a ricotta ravioli without the pasta - aka naked." As this dish only has a few ingredients, make sure they are of the best quality to bring out the flavours, particularly when choosing your ricotta, butter and parmesan.

Skinny Carbonara

If you love your carbonara but don't feel like the heavy, creamy kind - Jamie has a solution! He substitutes cream for a tiny bit of yoghurt and also recommends using wholewheat spaghetti.
