Nestle can't catch a break over their new Kit Kat flavour.
The new melon and cheese flavoured Kit Kat is currently being sold in Japan and has been welcomed with some mixed reviews on twitter.
The custom combination is being described as a "refreshing flavour" with "mellow sweetness and mascarpone cheese".
The Twitterverse has had an interesting reaction to the new flavour combo with many questioning why you would put these two flavours together in the first place.
“I’m a big fan of the various flavours of Kit Kat that come out in Japan, but I might pass on melon and cheese…,” @tgR_tsuru tweeted.
Meanwhile, @superroberston was keen to give it a try.
“Melon and cheese flavoured Kit Kat is so insane i would actually buy one and try it … imagine if it was good?”
The latest flavour is one of the newly released combinations in Japan along with Strawberry and Uji Matcha. Some of the other flavours which have been released in Japan include Cherry Blossom, Soybean, Brandy and Orange, Fruit Parfait, Sake, and Pumpkin.
If all goes well, we will soon be seeing the Melon and Cheese Kit Kat flavour on our supermarket shelves. Stay tuned, Australia!
