Take a peak inside Clos Maggiore - the most romantic restaurant in the world.
What makes a restaurant romantic? It's usually a combination of mood lighting, a smooth soundtrack, heavenly decor and, of course, a to-die for menu.
But what about the most romantic restaurant in the world?
Clos Maggiore is often touted as the holder of this title. It frequently tops international lists of the Most Romantic Restaurants, and has officially been awarded the title in its home city of London.
Based in Covent Garden, the restaurant claims to be "an oasis of calm" among the city's bustling tourist hub.
It is modelled after country inns of Provence and Tuscany, and is committed to creating an intimate and warm dining experience.
One of the most well-known features of the venue is its glass ceiling covered in cherry blossoms. Throughout the restaurant, walls covered in greenery almost make patrons feel like they're dining in a fairytale land.
The dining area is made even more cosy by an open fireplace, staving off that frosty London weather.
The menu, created by French chef Marcellin Marc, is classically French but chances throughout the seasons to uphold Clos Maggiore's dedication to fresh, flavourful locally sourced produce. However, on any given menu you can expect to see rich red meats, delicious and delicate seafood dishes, and indulgent, creamy desserts.
The restaurant's award-winning wine list stocks over 2500 bottles of wine from across 18 countries, and includes some of the most exclusive bottles in the world.
Clos Maggiore is lavish and over-the-top, which may not appeal to the Valentine's Day cynic, but its fine food and gorgeous setting is certain to sweep any romantic off their feet.
