Cure Cancer Australia Foundation together with Cutler & Co Dining Room are joining forces for the second annual World’s Best BYO event. Held at the two hatted Fitzroy restaurant on Monday, 27 May, and hosted by Stephen Quartermain, the event will raise much needed funds to fight and find a cure for cancer.
The World’s Best BYO is a unique gathering that gives wine lovers the opportunity to enjoy a bespoke menu created by one of Melbourne’s hottest chefs, Andrew McConnell. Dinner will be matched with a bottle from diners’ own cellar and will be curated by expert sommeliers from across Victoria.
Guests can bring a special sparkling, white or red and the best wine from each variety, judged by the group of sommeliers, will be awarded the coveted prizes for best in show on the evening.
The 2013 vintage promises to be bigger and better than last, with an impressive line-up of luxury auction items, and premium partners such as Moet Hennessy, Travel The World, Riedel, and Louis Vuitton all lending their support to make this an extraordinary event.
WBBYO has been an incredible success in Sydney, now in its eighth year, with the generosity and support from the Fink Group’s powerhouse Quay Restaurant and Executive Chef, Peter Gilmore. In 2012, the event headed south of the border for the first time where Andrew McConnell took the baton for Victoria.
This exclusive event is $1,000 a head with all proceeds going directly to Cure Cancer Australia Foundation. Individual tickets or tables of eight to 12 are available for purchase. The WBBYO event is a highlight on Australia’s food and wine calendar and has raised over $600,000 for vital cancer research.
