Grab a glass: there's now an anti-ageing gin

Can we make boozing beautiful? This anti-ageing alcohol might do the trick!

Much to our horror, we can't fight the fact that excessive drinking speeds up the ageing process. However, one groundbreaking new alcoholic beverage is hoping to nip that problem in the bud.

CollaGin is an anti-ageing drink that has tongues wagging worldwide.

What looks and tastes like regular gin, is actually infused with collagen - offerring consumers a side of beauty with their after-work buzz.

The concept was imagined by two UK-based best friends, Camilla Brown and Liz Beswick. The pair wanted to add something extra to their cocktails, and settled on collagen as the missing ingredient!

Collagen is the protein that helps repair skin, keeping it firm and supple.

The gin, which the creators describe as having an "elegant and refined taste", also contains anti-ageing botanicals such as star anise, pink graperfuit and orris.

Co-founder Liz suggests trying it in a martini or in your regular gin and tonic, which they're now calling a 'skin & tonic'.

CollaGin is distilled and bottled in the UK and can be purchased online for $59 (£34.99).
