Rick Stein's Australian Odyssey

LifeStyle FOOD identity, presenter and chef Rick Stein is coming to Australia … and this time he’s bringing the kitchen sink. Stein, who lives in Australia for half the year, has often noted that he would like to find a place to cook in Australia and so when Bannisters in Mollymook asked if he’d be interested he jumped at the chance. Rick Stein is due to take control of the kitchen in October. The focus will be on seafood in relaxed seaside surrounds. We can hardly wait!

Tasmania Unbottled

Tasmania’s wine producers are coming to the mainland, and they’re bringing with them some of the nation’s best bubbles, wines and exquisite produce. Tasmania Unbottled will feature over 130 wines from 30 of Tasmania’s top and emerging wine companies at wine exhibitions that will be held in Melbourne (4 August), Sydney (11 August) and Brisbane (13 August). Baby Vegemite

When vegemite was first put on shelves in Australia it was unnamed, and the company turned to the Australian public to help find a moniker. Kraft have turned to the public again, this time to name a spin off of the Australian icon. The new spread is milder than original, with a cream cheese-type adition that makes it more spreadable.
