With a young family, numerous restaurants to run, tv shows to film and cookbooks to write, nobody knows better than Bill Granger how to juggle commitments and maintain an active family kitchen.
There are plenty of new and creative recipes to get you back behind the stove. However Feed Me Now! is about more than simple food. Bill's latest cookbook contains handy hints on how to freeze meals ahead of time (think osso buco and chicken and mushroom pies) and a chapter on cooking on a budget (like the sticky five-spice pork ribs we’re all dying to try).
His lunch recipes turn left-overs into tasty treats such as a sausage, tomato and buffalo mozzarella melt and the salad of seared chicken and rice.
The chapter we are really keen on is "Dinner Dash" providing recipes that are limited to just 30 minutes, perfect for a quick mid-week supper. These super fast recipes are still packed full of flavour, such as the baked chicken with lemon, potato and green olives and the spicy prawn stir-fry. If you are feeling more indulgent or have a little extra time up your sleeve the recipes for family cooking and entertaining friends provide inspiration.
Die-hard Bill Granger fans will notice this book has a slightly different vibe to his previous cookbooks, largely due to John Kernick’s photography. It's a sophisticated cookbook with the visual focus on the plates rather than the lifestyle shots we are used to seeing in Bill's books.
Feed me now! will not disappoint as it is full of the culinary tips and ideas that will help to get you through cooking everyday.
