The amazing ice cream topping doesn't have to be shop bought...
If you loved pouring Ice Magic all over your ice cream as a child, the good news is that now you can recreate the ah... magic... all over again!
One woman took to the Mums Who Cook & Bake Facebook group to share her hack, which has people all over the world very excited about the prospect of making their favourite topping at home - and the best part? It's super easy to make.
Home-made Ice Magic recipe
200 grams dark chocolate (best quality you can find)
100 grams organic coconut oil
2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste
2 pinches sea salt flakes
Flavouring (The poster uses peppermint oil to give it a mint flavour)
If you have a Thermomix:
Add all of the ingredients, and then hit Speed 1 for five minutes at 50 degrees
If you're using the Stovetop:
Add all of the ingredients over a low heat until all combined
Decant the mixture into clean, sterilised bottles and use when necessary
Things to note:
You don't need to refrigerate this mixture.
It can begin to set back into a solid form once in the bottle, but the poster suggested giving the bottle "a quick zap in the microwave to make it liquid again." She assured others that once the topping hit the ice cream, it began to set hard again.
